Flashes of Hope

Last week we had the amazing experience of working with Flashes of Hope, "a non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses." The idea is to help these brave and beautiful children deal with their changing appearance and to create images that the families can always cherish.

We started the day early (early for us) at 8:30am at the Florida Hospital in Winter Park and spent the day there photographing 10 familes. We were joined by the amazing stylists from About Face who volunteered their time to make everyone look amazing, and what a fantastic job they did! Things moved so quickly, and the families were so loving and joyful that it was almost easy to forget where we were. I wish that I could put the whole gallery of images here for everyone to see what an amazing group of strong and lovely people they all are, but there are only room for some of our favorite captures from the day. To find out more about what Flashes of Hope is all about and to learn how you can get invloved, visit their website at www.flashesofhope.org.
